Introduction

X-Motor Racing is a project that includes several applications:

X-Motor Racing - racing simulator with telemetry system.
Update Master - tool to verify file versions and download additional content.
Vehicle Physics - tool to create/edit/tweak vehicle physics.
Vehicle Sound - tool to create/edit sound effects.
X-Motor Racing Launcher - launcher to quick configuration and launch XMR.
XMR Dedi Server - dedicated server for Windows.
XMR Editor - 3D editor to create/edit cars and tracks.

Everything you need for adding new cars, tracks and vehicle physics can be found in the X-Motor Racing.

Menu

Menu is a hub for the entire game. To navigate in the menu use mouse or TAB/ENTER keys.



SELECT GAME PROFILE is designed to add, delete and choosing game profiles.

ADD - Adding new game profile.
DELETE - Deleting current game profile.
CONTINUE - Using current profile in game.

CREATE PROFILE is designed to create new game profile.

ARCADE - creating arcade profile. The arcade mode means that some settings like TC, ABS are enabled by default. Arcade physics settings are available first in arcade mode.
SIMULATOR - creating simulator profile. The simulator mode means that some settings like TC, ABS are disabled by default. Simulator physics settings are available first in simulator mode.
DEVELOPER - creating developer profile. The developer mode is designed to creating and tweaking new cars, tracks, physics and sound. There are some additional in-game tools available in developer mode to tweak physics, sounds and AI.
You can easily change type of the profile in future from Misc menu.

MAIN MENU

COMPETITION is a game mode where you can compete with A.I. cars. The A.I. cars use the same physics without any tricks. The demo version supports up to 2 A.I. Cars. The full version supports up to 5 A.I. Cars.
HOT LAP is a hot lap mode where you can select track and car.
OFF-ROAD is a mode which allows to drive on off-road tracks with 4x4 physics settings.
TRAINING is a mode to training your skills in driving and physics.
MULTIPLAYER allows to join multiplayer game.
QUICK START is designed to load last game mode, track, car and settings. It allows saving time and launching last game quicker.
REPLAY is a replay menu. You can select and view saved replay.


TRACK AND CAR SELECTION

TRACK and CAR lists allow selecting any car you want.
RACEWAY contains ways on the selected track.
RING NUM defines number of the rings.
CLUTCH allows selecting clutch type.
  • None - there are no clutch. You can change the gear without any limit.
  • Auto - auto clutch. Clutch works automatically.
  • Semi-manual - semi-manual clutch. You can switch gear both with and without clutch.
  • Manual - the most realistic clutch. Only when the speeds of rotation are equal, you can change gear.

CAR MENU

CAR MENU is designed to adjust the car.
RACEWAY contains ways on the selected track.
CAR - allows selecting car from the list.
SETUPS - contains all available setups for the car. You can choose any on them before driving.
TRANSMISSIION is allows selecting transmission type
  • Manual - manual transmission
  • Auto - auto transmission where you have to turn on Drive and Reverse modes manually.
  • Auto rev - simple auto transmission where Drive and Reverse modes work automatically.

ABS - anti-lock braking system
TRACTION CONTROL - traction control
STABILITY CONTROL - stability control
CLUTCH - allows selecting clutch type as above
  • None - there are no clutch. You can change the gear without any limit.
  • Auto - auto clutch. Clutch works automatically.
  • Semi-manual - semi-manual clutch. You can switch gear both with and without clutch.

ENGINE - selecting engine mode
  • Always work - always running engine
  • Start - more realistic mode where you can start and turn off the engine.

COLOR/SKIN - selecting color or skin of the car
QUICK PHYSICS - open the menu to adjust physics in game.
CAR PHYSICS - executes VehiclePhysics. VehiclePhysics is a more powerful tool to adjust physics.
