Wheel setting.

Eugene,

When turning kickback to zero, i lose ffb. when it's on the wheel pulls to right or left respectively with inverse checked or unchecked. And is it possible to use negative value in vehicle physics editor?

Hi Johnny,

It's a normal situation.
FFB = FFB KickBack*x + FFB Friction,
according to the FFB equation:
http://www.xmotorracing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=182#p669

So, you have FFB = 0*x + FFB Friction = FFB Friction, which is constant.
It's not possible to use negative values in the Vehicle Physics.

thank you for the quick response.

Happy New Year!

The game is fantastic.

cheers.

JW.

Also in Game the wheel pulls right inverse unchecked and pulls left inverse checked.

Maybe it's the hardware limitations.

You are welcome, but I'm a little confused about the right and left inverses.
XMR has only "Inverse FFB" value that inverts the FFB:
if (Inverse FFB is unchecked)
FFB = FFB KickBack*x + FFB Friction;
else
FFB = -1*(FFB KickBack*x + FFB Friction);

when the kickback is set on, the car in game is always pulling left with FFB inverse unchecked and vise visa with it FFB inverse checked it pulls right. the only i can drive is with kickback in off position but no FFB effect in game.

JW.

sorry i hope this is clear.

I see now...but it sounds strange.
What is your wheel?
Do you have this effect on all cars?
Also, please watch your Kick Magnitude and Const Magnitude diagrams via telemetry by pressing 'I' several times and post it here.

Eugene,

as per request ,

pulling left setting with inverse unchecked - kickback and friction set .2 and everything else 1.0.
pulling right setting with inverse checked - kickback and friction set .2 and everything else 1.0.

Thanks for the sharing, Johnny.

The first picture looks strange like only the VerticalForce influences on the FFB.
Can you please send me your game profile and physics setups (.phs file) of the car at contact(at)exotypos(dot)com?
