On screen mouse

Postby trevdebow » Thu Apr 25, 2013 11:39 am

Hi All

Help needed here, been struggling!

We really need to use the mouse on the Vehiclephysics screen on a separate display or remote pc without disrupting the flow of the game itself. Can you advise on how to achieve this.

Also is there a way of getting vehicle telemetry to display on a separate display or remote pc.

Many thanks

Hi TJ,

Do you want to control the Vehiclephysics program from another PC?
Maybe any remote administration software can help you in this case.

You can read all telemetry data into InGameDataSDK structure and send it to another PC via TCP/IP, for example. Then draw it independently.
The InGameDataSDK structure is in ..XMR\SDK\XMRReadOut example.

Hi Eugene
The InGameDataSDK answer is great and works well. The problem with the Vehiclephysics program, is that as soon as you put the mouse on the Vehiclephysics program page the main game program looses all control from the joystick. Is there a way to control the physics program independently.

Cheers for the fast response.

Hi Trev,

I think it's possible to add "EXCLUSIVE" mode for joysticks as an option on the next update. But you have to wait a little. I will try to release it in May.
In this mode XMR doesn't lose input control from joysticks when you work with the Vehiclephysics program at the same time.

Hi Eugene

Has the "EXCLUSIVE" mode for joysticks as an option been added to the new update. I have installed the new update to v1.43, can't find the "EXCLUSIVE" mode.

Cheers

Hi Trev,

The "EXCLUSIVE" mode hasn't been added yet.
That was just a preliminary update to test the graphics engine.
It will be added to the official release or maybe earlier.

Hi there
I noticed that X-Motor Racing Pro 1.4 allows an instant graphical change to the car when you change the cars physics. Versions after this however requires an apparent restart for the changed physics to take effect. Having the visual ability to see what you are doing to the car instantly, seems a much better approach especially for student use.

Many thanks

Hi Trev,

It seems the version 1.4, 1.41, 1.42 etc use the same algorithm. But some changes in physics profiles require restarting (in-game menu - restart). Some can affect at once.
